Description: Under direction of a supervisor, in a state department or agency, assists in the operation and maintenance of various types of boats assigned to the unit; does related work as required. Specific to the Position: Periodic manual inspection of Floodgate tide boards, recording, and comparison to digital readouts. Alerting full-time Floodgate staff of impending/needed closings of the gate and potential operations of the interior drainage pumps. When closed, periodic inspections of inland and bayside tide boards to track subsidence of flooding event and ability to reopen.
