Advanced Inventory Accounting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, provides inventory accounting services to various DENSO locations across North America. Acts as a liaison to resolve outstanding issues. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Computes cost value of raw material, work in process and finished goods for inventory purposes. Analyzes actual cost versus standard costs and prepares variance reports. Prepares lower of cost or market, capitalization of variance, margin analysis and other requested calculations. Prepares financial reporting for inventory areas as needed. Monitors inventory adjustments. Works with other departments to improve physical inventory taking with support from higher levels. General ledger and accounting activities including the maintenance of adequate supporting documentation and audit trails. Assist with the month, quarterly and annual close process including coordinating the completion of accounting activity in a timely and accurate manner.
