Company: Allegheny Health Network Job Description: GENERAL OVERVIEW: Assesses, prepares, and provides nursing care to patients; provides ongoing care in collaboration with multiple physicians; provides and develops educational opportunities for staff and monitors outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum - Assesses, develops, and administers plan of care, completes appropriate documentation and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. (35%) - Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the RN's knowledge base or scope of practice. (20%) - Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on individual needs. (20%) - Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team. (15%) - Coordinates administrative functions for the Program, which may include staffing coverage and/or participating in marketing activities.
