Registrar Haematology: Work involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care in a multidisciplinary setting. Duties include: - A fixed term 6-month Haematology Clinical Registrar position is available at the Launceston General Hospital, Launceston, Tasmania, from 13th July 2026 - 29 January 2027. This position is supported by a team of 5.4 FTE consultant haematologists, 1 BPT ward registrar, 2 ward RMOs and a Laboratory Advanced Trainee. - Providing a consultative haematology service in conjunction with the on-call Haematologist for inpatients at LGH, as well as providing phone advice for GPs and rural hospitals. - Regular outpatient clinics under supervision of Consultant Haematologists - Assisting with assessment and management of ambulatory haematology patients requiring treatment within the WP Holman Clinic outpatient facility, Launceston General Hospital. - Advising, mentoring and overseeing the work of junior medical staff assigned to the care of inpatient haematology patients at the Launceston General Hospital when needed, including participation in the on-call roster with Consultant Support. - Participation in local research projects and clinical trials The Team: The Norther...
