Title: Learning Specialist - Mathematics Division: Provost's Office: Department: University Division: FLSA Status: Exempt: Salary Range: $45,000: EEO Job Group: 2 C8: Position Summary: Provide academic support for students to develop math success at developmental and introductory levels. This position will start August 2026. Duties/Responsibilities: Work closely with students to provide resources and tools which enables them to successfully complete their math courses. Assist the Department of Mathematical Sciences with tutoring and monitoring of the Mathematics lab. Provide tutor support for students who wish to take/repeat math placement test for higher placement score. Support teacher education students preparing for the math portion of the Praxis test and MATH 103 - Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I. Develop and teach supplemental instruction sessions for students in CORE 39 Math classes. Select, supervise, support and evaluate Math tutors. Conduct tutor-training each semester in accordance with the Association for the Coaching and Tutoring Profession (ACTP) guidelines.
