Service Technician (Light Shop 2nd shift)

Job description

The City of Johnson City, Tennessee is currently accepting online applications for a Service Technician in the Fleet Management department. This position is second shift, 2:30pm to 10:30pm. The employee p erforms intermediate skilled mechanical work related to repair and servicing of a large variety of various types of equipment; does related work as required. Work of this class involves repair and maintenance work on automobiles, light and heavy trucks, tractors, air compressors and all types gasoline and diesel driven equipment. Work assignments are received either in writing or orally does require diagnosing mechanical failure and making necessary repairs. Work is subject to review while in progress and upon completion.
