Description Texas Biomed is searching for a Safety Technician I in our EHS Department. This position will inspect, test, and maintain health and safety supplies and equipment across all Texas Biomed and SNPRC facilities to ensure compliance. This role will maintain a detailed supply/equipment database, support EHS operations (including waste management, spill response and training), and identifies potential hazards to recommend corrective or preventive actions. NOTE: This is a part-time position scheduled for 20 hours per week. The Role: · Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual inspection and testing of safety equipment include safety shower, and eyewash. · Establish and refine Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for safety equipment. · Provide training to employees on the use and testing of safety equipment. · Maintain and restock first aid supplies, PPE, and prophylaxis kits across the campus. · Maintain comprehensive database and maintenance records of the safety supplies and equipment. · Maintain statistical data required by OSHA and applicable federal, state, local and Institute’s safety regulations to prepare periodic reports to Texas Biomed management. · Pickup and stage chemi...
