Our customer base is diverse, and so are the products we test. As a Test Engineer for Explosion Safety, you mainly deal with products for industrial applications. These include explosion-proof inspection robots, cameras, pumps, flow meters, weighing systems, and more. In this role, you start with general mechanical tests (temperature measurements, ageing, impact, and water and dust ingress). After that, you will be trained in tests that are specific to explosion safety. Samples are, for example, tested in pressure-resistant explosion chambers. In the development from junior to senior test engineer, important milestones include planning the test program, working on more complex projects, expanding qualifications, and managing test systems and calibrations in the laboratory.
