Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Event & Banquet Operations: - Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet functions, meetings, weddings, and special events. - Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all event details are executed accurately. - Conduct pre-shift meetings with banquet staff to communicate event timelines, service expectations, VIP details, and operational needs. - Ensure banquet rooms and event spaces are set according to hotel standards and client specifications. - Monitor service throughout events to ensure high-quality guest experience and timely execution. - Serve as the main point of contact for banquet staff during events and communicate effectively with the kitchen, culinary, stewarding, audio visual, and hot...
