Job description

The Facilities Mechanic will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role includes performing routine inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, and responding to service requests to reduce downtime and support overall facility operations. The candidate selected for this position must successfully qualify for and progress through the career path training program to Mechanic A. Core Responsibilities: - Perform general maintenance and upkeep of buildings and facilities using basic hand and power tools. - Perform basic electrical, lighting, wiring, plumbing, pipefitting, and carpentry tasks. - Conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. - Perform snow and ice removal using manual and powered equipment and complete related maintenance activities. - Demonstrate a working understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams, including blueprints, maps, and schematics. - Utilize basic PCbased systems to access, retrieve, enter, and verify jobrelated information. - Support the operation and maintenance o...
