Doctors in Training (DiT) 2027 - Advanced Trainee - General Medicine - Multiple positions Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is a 400 bed public hospital providing acute care services and is the major referral centre for North and North West regions of Tasmania. It is a teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania and accredited with the RACP for advanced training in a number of specialties including General Medicine. The LGH is accredited for both years of core training in General and Acute Care Medicine, and additional non core training. During your Advanced Physician Training at the Launceston General Hospital you will be exposed to a wide range of well supported inpatient and outpatient work. There are opportunities to rotate to a number of specialties including Perioperative Medicine, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Stroke, Cardiology, Renal, Respiratory and Rehabilitation as well as opportunities to assist with organisation of the FRACP clinical examination. Acute terms are readily available in Cardiology, Stroke and the Acute Medical Unit.
