Classification Title: Engineer III Classification Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. Job Description: This position will be responsible for troubleshoots, repairs and preventative maintenance of EPI’s high-pressure high-temperature sterilization equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards under the Federal Select Agent Program (FSAP) and other governing bodies such as OSHA, CDC, as well as internal quality standards of the EPI and EH&S. Incumbent shall perform routine inspections and maintenance on steam, electrical and water systems to prevent or minimize downtime, and will diagnose mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues with sterilization systems, calibrate and validate pressure/temperature sensor and gauges for accurate sterilization cycles and replace consumable parts such as gaskets, door seals, filters and he...
