Job DetailsJob Location: Omaha Zoo - Omaha, NE 68107Position Type: SeasonalJob Title: Seasonal Grounds Gardener FLSA Status: Non-exempt: Classification: Seasonal: Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM; Monday - Friday with occasional evening or weekend hours Pay Rate: $16.41/hour: This is a seasonal position with a maximum duration of six months, based on individual performance and business operations. The exact end date will be determined by the official start date. Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Horticulture Grounds Supervisor and the Horticulture Grounds Lead, this seasonal position will be primarily be responsible for weed management as directed within the Zoo grounds. Additional responsibilities may include providing general grounds landscape labor. Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Weed Management: Chemical application were deemed appropriate. Mechanical removal weed removal trimming or mowing. Manual removal of weeds through digging or pulling. Provide labor in support of other areas of the department. Weekly watering of non-irrigated areas and fertilization as directed.
