Job description

The Housekeeper works to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. The position relies on established guidelines to accomplish tasks and works under close supervision. Education - High School Diploma or equivalent Special Skills - Communication Skills - Cleaning of Clinical & Non-Clinical Areas - Assigned work areas are cleaned, sanitized, supplied and maintained in a neat and orderly manner meeting environmental standards. Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas. - Completes all environmental services tasks, dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming, strip/scrub, refinishing, shampoo/extraction and delivery of clean linen according to procedures. - Completes removal of soil linen and disposal of trash according to established procedures. Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed. Clean, wash, sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
