Job Description THIS POSTING IS FOR FIVE (5) POSITIONS: On June 16, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul signed the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust Act, which authorized the creation of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust (the Trust). The Trust is a public benefit corporation that will oversee the renovation and rehabilitation of the City’s public housing developments, owned by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). NYCHA will remain the permanent owner of the land/buildings and will enter a long-term ground lease with the Trust to secure Section 8 vouchers. The selected Maintenance Workers will be NYCHA employees assigned to Nostrand Houses and working on behalf of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust. Under direct supervision, they will assist in the routine maintenance, operation and repair of public buildings and structures, and the equipment they contain. They will also conduct visual inspections of building equipment and conditions, and perform related work, such as driving to and from work sites.
