Welder - Production Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for a Welder – Production to join our team in Seattle, WA . The ideal candidate will support test fabrication in the Puget Sound area and must be capable of traveling to multiple sites between Seattle, Everett and Tukwila. Position Responsibilities: Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) per Boeing’s applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Make adjustments during the process of the weld to compensate for variations in thickness, mismatch, gap, equipment anomalies, assembly fit-up, etc Perform brazing, sil-brazing, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, carbon arc gouging, flame straightening, and flame bending When a WPS is not required, select electrodes, gas cups, filler metal, weld current, arc voltage travel speed, gas flow, wire size and feed rate per the weld schedule or other furnished information Measure, layout, set and align.
