Overview Opportunity Summary: General Dynamics, the world’s foremost designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking a Program Representative – IT Project Manager to join the organization within the Information Technology (EBIT) Department. As Electric Boat’s work throughput increases, it becomes increasingly imperative that EBIT works on the right projects, at the right time, and according to schedule and budget, in order to support our growing business needs. In support of this goal, the EBIT department has established the EBIT Project Management Office (PMO) that is responsible for the management of projects across all of EBIT. Responsibilities of the EBIT PMO team include: - Project Execution – Leading project team resources to complete project deliverables, on time and within budget - Project Intake and Planning - Evaluating project requests, categorizing projects, prioritizing projects, balancing the project portfolio, selecting the projects to fund, determine funding strategy, and authorizing selected projects. - Project Management Processes – Ensuring best practices are documented and adopted - Performance Monitoring – Status reporting, regular project progress updat...
