Grand Valley is seeking 2 General Maintenance Assistants to work in our facilities department. Both positions will be second shift, working 3:00pm - 11:30pm One position will work Sunday through Thursday and the position will work Tuesday through Saturday. Job Classification & Benefits: Grade 3. Minimum starting wage of $20.80 per hour Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, generous employer retirement contributions, wellness resources and tuition waiver effective on date of hire. Essential Functions: - Assist all trades and maintenance staff on work assignments but may also work independently. - Perform general building maintenance in all the trades. - General repair and preventative maintenance of all building equipment, as assigned. - Follow work assignments, instructions, labeled information, and safety standards. - Perform duties in the following trades; electrical, plumbing, painting, floor covering.
