Job Description The College of Architecture, Arts, and Design (AAD) at Virginia Tech is seeking two part-time AV Technicians to provide audiovisual support across the college’s diverse creative and academic facilities. Working under the supervision of the AV Services Manager, these positions deliver hands-on technical support for classrooms, performance venues, gallery spaces, conference rooms, and special events serving all four schools within AAD: School of Architecture, School of Design, School of Visual Arts, and School of Performing Arts. AV Technicians will respond to support requests, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain AV equipment and systems, and provide on-site support for events including theatrical productions, concerts, gallery exhibitions, lectures, and meetings. Responsibilities include testing Zoom Rooms and presentation systems, assisting with event setup and breakdown, performing preventative maintenance, and documenting all activities in the IT service management system.
