Department: 60901 Alleghany Health - Lab Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Full Time Days Pay Range: $24.50 - $36.75 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) Medical Technologist program, five years' clinical lab experience, or two years' clinical lab experience with Medical Lab Tech (MLT) certification. Previous experience as Medical Technologist preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP certification. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Performs and provides accurate laboratory test results on human patients. 2. Prepares and issues blood components for patient transfusions. 3. Assists in the collection and transport of patient samples from the clinics to laboratory sections. 4. Handles hazardous materials in accordance with regulations to ensure safe working environment. 5. Requisitions and maintains inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment as needed for laboratory operations. 6.
