Your Contribution: - Design glass melting equipment in SolidWorks. Analyze equipment performance through flow, heat transfer, and fatigue modeling software. Develop 2D drawings, BOM list, and Job Instruction Documents. - Business liaison to Germany “central services” as it pertains to platinum. - Business “custodian” for platinum (legal representative for government and financial auditors) - Order raw earth materials including but not limited to Platinum and Iridium. - Order refractory and insulation materials. - Order CNC tools and various mold making equipment. - Organize shop storage areas utilizing SAP. - Forecast platinum usage, consumption, and recycling plan. - Supervise union workforce. Work force includes welders, masons, and CNC machine operators. - Attend daily melting direction setting meetings. - Help troubleshoot melting issues as it pertains to melting equipment fabrication and maintenance. - Assist technicians during equipment installations through start-up qualifications. - Capable of performing FAI (First Article Inspections) on melting equipment. - Knowledgeable of CoC’s (Certificates of Conformance) and how they apply to the equipment in the department.
