Job description

Overview The Department of Health Professions at Eastern Virginia Medical School is seeking a full time Assistant or Associate Professor to join as faculty for the Physician Assistant Program. Effort: The distribution of duties is contingent upon the FTE commitment arrangement between the PA Program and the faculty member. Duties are distributed between Teaching, Administrative, Service, and Scholarship/Research and Clinical. Preface: All faculty, regardless of their official job title are involved in the program at every level. The degree to which each individual faculty is involved in the program is negotiated between the faculty member and Program Director at the time of hire and at intervals determined by the faculty member and Program Director. Responsibilities: Coordinate and prepare all assigned courses and lectures for presentation at the scheduled time. Present designated course materials to students in an organized and effective manner to enable enhanced student learning.
