At the discretion of command staff, they serve as the Watch Commander in the absence of the Police Sergeant, providing campus-wide supervision to Police Operations personnel and operational command of all emergencies, special events, serious incidents, and non-emergency calls for service. They respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents, writes reports, and conducts investigations. The Police Corporal reviews daily incident reports and notifies appropriate command staff and university personnel of emergency situations.
