Description Job Summary: This is a responsible and technical position within the Public Works Department with a wide variety of duties pertaining to infrastructure projects within Boone County. The Construction Inspector I is responsible for essential functions within the Public Works Department, as well as, working with developers, contractors, and the general public. This person must have knowledge of County policies, engineering specifications, subdivision regulations, and construction procedures. The Construction Inspector I ensure all phases of construction adhere to county standards, from initial planning to final inspection. This includes reviewing plans, interpreting regulations, and monitoring construction progress to ensure compliance with approved plans, schedules, and budgets. The Engineering Services Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency, quality, and safety of Boone County’s public works projects.
