Labcorp is seeking a Lab Supervisor to join our Anatomic Cytoprep and Histology team in Tampa, FL . Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8a – 5p); flexibility required Job Responsibilities: - Supervise the day to day operations of the Cytoprep and Histology teams within the Anatomic Pathology department including customer service/support services - Responsible for problem management, client communication, etc. - Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing - Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory and non-technical personnel of the department - Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage - Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed - Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary - Engage in continuous process and service level improvements - Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations - Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner - Ensure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality Control - Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations -...
