This position provides specialized patient care and education for patients receiving treatments, examinations, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures. This is a weekday, daytime position. Job Description: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family (biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual and environmental); collects and analyzes data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care. Directs and/or provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice. Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/family regarding disease process and symptom management. Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information.
