Facility Maintenance Associate - 40hrs

Job description

Responsible for various duties related to the cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings and grounds. Performs routine repairs, installations and moves as scheduled or as necessary. Conducts preventive maintenance of equipment as scheduled. - Performs a variety of routine servicing and repair operations to Connecticut Children’s buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and maintains grounds in proper condition, including lawn care and snow removal as required. - Installing office partitions, furniture, and equipment. - Changes light bulbs as needed. - Assembles new equipment (not covered by trade technicians) as needed. - Prepares surfaces and applies paint. - Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment as scheduled. - Lifts, moves, and transports all types of supplies, furniture and equipment. Assist in setting offices as directed. - Performs all phases of cleaning operations including but not limited to waste removal, lavatories, floors, and overall classroom cleanliness when environmental services associate is unavailable. - Maintains and stores equipment and cleaning tools. - Performs other duties as required.
