Classification Title: Construction Project Mgr. II Classification Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, planning or building construction and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Description: Key Responsibilities Project & Facilities Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of UF/IFAS construction, renovation, capital‑improvement, and utility‑infrastructure projects across the state. Identify and prioritize projects related to deferred maintenance, facility upgrades, and infrastructure needs. Develop project scopes and negotiate contracts with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Coordinate closely with user groups to ensure project requirements, timelines, and expectations are met. Oversee construction activities from planning through warranty and close‑out, ensuring full compliance with funding regulations and UF procedures. Provide technical expertise and leadership to other IFAS/FPO project managers. Travel to UF/IFAS locations statewide, including occasional overnight trips using a state vehicle.
