Job Description Job Title : Sterile Processing Tech Department: Sterile Processing: Location: SLH - CPH Main: Hours Per Week: 37.5 hrs: SUMMARY: The Sterile Processing Tech prepares and maintains the many life preserving articles and pieces of equipment that are necessary to provide the utmost in both patient and employee safety and generate the utmost in both patient care. Follow the direction and guidance of the Central Supply Supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES: Decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation to the OR and other areas throughout the hospital. Required to maintain and control both sterile and non-sterile supplies, and identify/remedy equipment and process failures and hazards while maintaining appropriate and complete records. Works independently making independent decisions regarding work Schedules nursing staff, meeting deadlines for review and posting.
