Job Summary The Office of the Registrar is seeking an Academic Advisement Systems Analyst to support and enhance its academic advising systems. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving degree audit and academic planning tools, ensuring accurate and efficient advising processes for students, faculty, and staff. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze academic policies and translate them into system configurations - Maintain and update degree audit and advising systems (PeopleSoft) - Test system updates and ensure accuracy of advising tools - Troubleshoot issues and provide functional support - Collaborate with campus partners, IT, and academic departments - Create documentation and provide training to users Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Ability to communicate with constituents in a professional and respectful manner - Understanding of higher education academic structures, including majors, minors, options, and complex general education requirements, as well as federal, state, and institutional (e.g., CSU, SJSU, Title 5) policies and procedures impacting degree requirements - Ability to evaluate complex academic rules, integrate and interpret data, identify issues, and devel...
