MassDOT Industrial Safety & Health Inspector I 260002MK Description Position Summary: The MassDOT Industrial Safety and Health Inspector I position is classified as an entry-level technician focused on applying the principles, practices and techniques of occupational safety and health learned through educational and related job experience. Through the guidance of senior level Industrial Safety and Health Inspectors, entry-level inspectors will be provided with procedural guidance and on-the-job training to learn the functional operations of the MassDOT Highway Division. There will be three selected applicants for this position who will be formally assigned to the Boston Headquarters Occupational Safety and Health Section but each of the selected applicants will conduct their daily work as an apprentice in one of Safety's regional groups assisting the District Safety Inspectors in supporting safety and health for the MassDOT Highway Division workforce. Safety's regional groups are District 1/2, District 3/5, and District 4/6, with one candidate hired into each of these groups.
