Corporate Title Attorney - Louisiana

UWM is seeking a qualified attorney to support the company with title examination and other title related matters. This is a remote role covering the state of Louisiana. This role requires two weeks of training in Michigan. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: - Examining public record, abstracts of title, leases, contracts and other legal documents to determine land ownership and lien position of residential property• Drafting legal documents regarding property ownership and opinions on title• Interpreting and providing advice on title related issues• Reviewing and assisting with title claims• Researching deed, filing, and other title related legal requirements• Communicating with title companies regarding processing and procedural issues• Ensuring compliance with UWM policies and procedures• Editing legal documents for accuracy• Providing support and assistance to members of the Legal team WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Must Have Qualifications: - Admission to the Louisiana state Bar • Bachelors and J.D.• 3+ years of in-depth experience with title examination and review• Possess a thorough understanding of the title process• Have a commitment to continuous business improvement• Be capable of working...
