POSITION SUMMARY: Pay range: $49.34/hr - $74.08/hr plus 10% per diem differential Ensures the delivery of quality nursing care for patients undergoing surgical and non-invasive procedures in accordance with age-related and individual needs, physician's orders, hospital policy, standards of care and nursing practice. Responsible for assessing the needs of patients, planning nursing care to meet those needs, and ensuring that the plan of care is carried out and documented according to the principles defined in the nursing process. Perianesthesia nursing care consists of 3 phases: Preop: (66101-DSU; 65911-TOPS Pre Post) Phase I: (66501 Recovery Room; 65911 TOPS Pre Post) Phase II: (66101-DSU; 65911-TOPS Pre Post) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Performed majority of the time -- - Performs and documents assessments and data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner for pre-op/post-op patients utilizing hospital and departmental charting formats - Assemble required patient data for pre-op chart - Administers medication as ordered by physician. via all routes safely and accurately according to procedure - Utilize PACU equipment safely and accurately. - Performs the following accurately follow...
