We provide: Do you want to embark on a dynamic healthcare journey in our fast-paced admission unit? 11E is the Care Initiation Unit (CIU) where we provide exceptional care of patients awaiting their inpatient bed assignment. We are an acute care admitting unit that initiates the plan of care until patients are transferred to their specialized units. Our 11E nurses work with telemetry, central lines, tracheostomies, heparin drips, insulin drips, and administer blood products. 11E CIU received the 2024 Silver Beacon award. We work closely with the ED department and other units to promote the flow within the hospital.
