Finishing Operator

Job description

Basic Functions : Responsible for operating rewind and finishing equipment to inspect and slit and finish labels to customer specifications. Assists Senior Press Operators or Press Operators to produce quality labels and product according to order specifications. Qualifications: MAIN DUTIES ARE: - Reads order specifications, sets up rewind and finishing equipment to finish product and pack for shipment to customers. - Coordinate set up activities with the press operator to be as efficient as possible . - Works with Operators and Quality to ensure that production has manufactured quality labels. - Inspect and remove all defects, properly re-splice roll in compliance with quality specs. - Ensure core tags and rewind position is correct as required by order . - Ensure proper splice . - Apply knowledge to check orders and ensure that all press work is up to company and customer quality specifications. - Packs product according to specifications . - Assist operators with make ready and wash ups . - Communicates effectively with all manufacturing personnel. - Complete reports and enter data on jobs to provide accurate documentation of time. - Works overtime as needed. - Performs other re...
