Position Description: Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Light Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join the Phoenix Open Pit Mine Maintenance Team. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Complete routine preventative maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe operation of support vehicles and auxiliary/medium duty equipment fleets - Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment - Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes - Perform other duties as assigned - Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred - Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics required - Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required - Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required - Experience handling tires preferred - Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required - Lift at least 50 lbs. required - Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadersh...
