Summer Early Childhood Teacher Pay is $40/hr Position Summary: Teach 3-5 year old children in the county’s only integrated preschool program for the summer session. Collaborate with a partner Special Education Teacher to plan, organize, and implement activities and lesson plans for up to 15 children, with and without disabilities. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program. - Ensure the equipment and the classroom are clean, well maintained and safe at all times. - Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities for 30 days of summer school. - Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts. - Develop activities that foster cooperative play and learning. - Implement positive discipline when required. Follow behavior plans and participate in the development of Good Working Strategies as needed. - Attend agency, faculty and student meetings. - Attend classroom meetings, working in conjunction with special education teacher to create and review weekly agenda. - Manage classroom staff and daily routines - Demonstrate an understanding of and complianc...
