Job Summary: Student Nurse Externs work in a variety of nursing practice areas throughout Good Samaritan. This role is designed for current pre-licensure registered nursing students currently enrolled in the final year of coursework before graduation. Essential Job Duties: - Performs or assists with the patients’ activities of daily living utilizing the Good Samaritan Professional Practice Model - Assists the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, documenting, and delivering care to support high quality and safe outcomes. - Improves or maintains patient satisfaction levels by providing care with consideration of the individual needs of the patient/family and their age-specific/developmental needs. - Contributes to a high-performance work environment by maintaining specific knowledge and skills needed to perform tasks according to policy and procedure at Good Samaritan Hospital. - Hours worked will be split between Patient Care Technician assignments and Student Nurse Extern assignments.
