JOB TITLE: FIRE SCIENCE PROGRAM DIRECTOR DEPARTMENT: TECHNICAL EDUCATION SALARY RANGE: FACULTY SALARY CLASSIFICATION CHART FLSA: EXEMPT IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Dean of Technical Education SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/10 month position/PSRS: Position Summary: The Program Director is responsible for the instruction of assigned classes and normal duties of a full-time instructor. This position will also provide leadership, support, motivation, and accountability for the daily operations of the Fire Science Technology (FST) Program. The Program Director will assist the Dean of Technical Education with the overall functions of the Technical Education division. This position is responsible for six credit hours of instruction per fall and spring semester. The Program Director is allowed to teach two classes for overload per semester. Over two classes for overload is extremely rare and requires approval of Dean and Provost.
