Chief Ethanol is seeking a n Assistant Safety Manager to join the Chief team. This position will w ork with the Safety Manager to maintain an effective Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining a variety of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for our employees . Education: - Assist in developing and conducting effective safety training to all employees and new hires. - Manage contractor approvals for Hastings. - Oversee safety training programs including recordkeeping for Hastings. - Ensure all elements of Process Safety Management program are implemented and maintained. - Evaluate all injuries and recommend transport and treatment for injury. Transport any injured employee as needed to medical facility. Assist in developing modified work duties for injured employees. - Investigate accidents and incidents. Determine causes and take appropriate follow up actions with tracking of recommendations to prevent reoccurrence . - Responsible for compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting all accidents with the proper paperwork to corporate worker’s compensation claim administrato...
