Job Title: Assistant Tennis Coach Department: Director of Athletics Job Description: The Assistant Tennis Coach is responsible for teaching and coaching student-athletes to develop and acquire the extensive tactical, technical, and physical skills required to be a competitive Division III intercollegiate-level student-athlete. The position assists the head coach in skill evaluation, instruction, planning, organization, and supervision of individual and team practices and varsity athletic competitions. This is a 10-month position. Job Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Coach in developing teams that are competitive within the conference, region, and nationally by maximizing student-athletes’ talents, teaching and promoting teamwork, supporting the educational goals of individual student-athletes by demonstrating a coaching philosophy that aligns with those goals, and promoting an environment conducive to both. - Assist with equipment, apparel, and facility maintenance as directed by the Head Coach. - Conduct individual workouts with players to instruct and coach them on techniques and skills outside of regular practice.
