Description American University seeks an Associate Vice Provost of Academic Affairs to provide collaborative academic leadership for the International Accelerator Program (IAP), a partnership between American University and Shorelight Education, Inc. (“the Partnership”) In collaboration with the Managing Director, s/he will lead the development and delivery of innovative highest-quality gateway programs for international, non-native English speaking students in the International Accelerator Programs (IAP, MAP, and American Collegiate). S/he is responsible for maintaining academic program quality and adherence with AU standards, guiding the curriculum and faculty instruction, the application of American University academic policies and regulations, to ensure the successful academic progression of conditionally accepted international students at the undergraduate and graduate level to American University as well as international students seeking admission to other US based universities and colleges.
