Applications Engineer

Job description

Basic Purpose and Objective Applications Engineer to design and specify installation systems for mechanically attached fasteners. PROFIL specializes in mechanically attached fasteners (MAF) both in die (Transfer & Progressive) and Manual operations (C- frame & Hand load cell). Specific Duties and Responsibilities: - Work with customer to clarify and document customer system needs: Fastener type, panel info, vehicle platform - Assess and document installation feasibility through CAD integration of tooling into panel - Specify and document all components needed to meet customer installation requirements - Perform tooling design/modifications and document as well as work with Design group for creation of new tools - Create budgetary quote based on system specification . Follow up with customer(s) for official quote and receipt of PO . Determine and document required delivery dates - Monitor progress of system components to assure on-time delivery - Provide ongoing support for customer production needs. - Assist Service Team to diagnose & troubleshoot issues with installation heads, fastener feeders, and electropneumatic kits (in-die & manual operations) - Cooperate with team providing...
