Laboratory Technician

Description Job title: Lab Technician: Reports to: Lab Manager: Level: Individual Contributor: Classification: Non-exempt: Status: Regular Full Time: Job Purpose: Lab Technicians perform routine laboratory tests under close supervision to determine chemical or physical characteristics of samples. Lab Technicians ensure that their duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform basic analytical tests based on standards and procedures as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. - Assist and perform the setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment. - Calibrate laboratory instruments as needed to ensure that analysis is accurate according to the Quality Management systems. - Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment. - Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas. - Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used. - Understand and complete laboratory raw data sheets and make accurate entries into LIMS data base. - Ability to read and comprehend all analysis as well as safety standards in English, including ASTM, UOP, IP and other well-defined analy...
