Position Description Summary​ Develops new influenza candidate vaccine strains for subsequent vaccine antigen manufacture. Conducts sophisticated characterization to both identify strains of interest and ensure suitability for developed strains for advancement. Documents research activities with extremely high level of rigor and attention to detail. Models quality mindset and rigorous documentation practices for junior scientific staff. May work/establish relationships with partners and/or regulatory authorities related to vaccine strain characterization. Designs and implements business experimental processes to enable product research and development. Designs related integrated process and candidate / product team activities and directs technical and operational activities to ensure planned project outcomes, and enables portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management. Provides and contributes to project progression and reports, as required, to project or program committees for decision-making support.
