Overview To perform standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic procedures and to provide guidance to Neurodiagnostic Tech I in their performance of these procedures. Responsibilities: - Perform standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic procedures as ordered and according to accepted policy and procedure, on all age groups from neonate to geriatric. - Explain testing procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety. - Monitor patients’ comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses. - Obtain and record patient identification and medical history. - Adjust equipment and controls according to physicians’ orders or established protocol. - Prepare and position patients for testing. - Check, test, and maintain equipment, making minor repairs when necessary, to ensure proper operation. - Supervise or train other technologists or students. - Display ability to establish a good rapport with customers and display care, concern, and confidentiality to customers. - Schedule testing and organize and plan work according to priorities established by departmental standards. - Communicate effectively with nursing floors and esc...
