Title: Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Music Employee Classification: Faculty: Institution: Roane State Community College: Department: Humanities: Campus Location: Roane State Community College Job Summary: Roane State Community College is seeking qualified applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Music Instrumental Education. The successful candidate will serve as the coordinator for the Music department, direct the instrumental ensembles, and teach additional music courses to both music majors and non-majors. Job Duties: - Coordinate music class schedule for all campuses. - Review class curriculum, textbooks, and materials. - Coordinate adjunct pool and workload. - Maintain department equipment and supplies. - Maintain music budget. - Build the instrumental program through recruitment and performance. - Organize the music portion of the academic festival, commencement ceremonies, athletic events. - Teach 15 course hours per semester and schedule a minimum of 15 office hours per week, including evenings. - Serve on appropriate departmental and college-wide committees as assigned. - Through action-research projects, grant development, or conference parti...
