Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary: This position provides healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a physician; conducts pre-procedure and post-procedure assessment and treatment, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with appropriate documentation. Job Description: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Performs physical assessments/examinations. - Assesses and counsels patients and obtains medical histories. - Helps with admission and discharge of patients including appropriate notes and orders. - Will see patients on the monitoring units and inpatient floors for consultation for procedures within the scope of practice of the PA. - Monitors patient's adherence to protocols. - Coordinates screening for research studies. - Collects and records data per research requirements and guidelines. - Develops and implements adherence plans used with protocols. - Will have preliminary discussion about procedures outside the PA’s scope of practice to facilitate the informed consent discussion by the radiologist. - Will coordinate care and round on patients who were, or will be, under the care of abdominal radiology. - Bills for professional ser...
