Job Title: Camp Counselor – Part Time, Seasonal Reports To: Facilities Manager: FLSA Status: Non-exempt: Summary : With passion and dedication to excellence, the Addams Park Activities Counselor will create a friendly, fun, and open environment while ensuring all safety procedures and protocols for children of all ages. A camp counselor will supervise, educate, and lead children of all ages through different outdoor and indoor recreational activities at camp. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities gearing them to the needs of various age groups Assists in all activities, maintains a positive and inclusive approach with all assigned participants Plans and assists in the daily preparation for the camp day; sets up a takes down equipment before and after summer camp activities occur Addresses behavioral issues when needed: Facilitates and encourages participation in camp activities Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program Communicates clearly and effectively in written and verbal methods with supervisor, parents, and children Informs supervisor when in need of any equipment and/or r...
