Reporting to the Head of The Global Insights Center, the Data Scientist Economist will be responsible for leveraging large internal and external data sets to create new economic indicators, trackers, and analytical tools to decipher macro and micro economic trends that are of relevance to the insurance sector. The candidate will conduct research on the US economy, and at times the global economy. The candidate will utilize sources of large data sets and build complex models to develop trends around these data points. This will include the creation of bespoke economic indicators that help assess and articulate economic trends at the national, state, and local level. These data sets and the output indicators and trends will be used to assess business risk in a manner that is relevant to insurance sector outcomes.
